Today sees West London producer and DJ p-rallel announce his forthcoming EP Forward, due for release on March 25 via 4ZA/Black Butter Records. To celebrate the announcement, p-rallel has shared a slick new track from the EP called ‘Vibes’, featuring close-collaborators Sam Wise and Venna.

p-rallel’s debut release on 4ZA is a buzzy, six-track EP featuring guest spots from a host of p-rallel’s inner circle including Sam Wise, Jords, Jeshi, Rachel Chinouriri, Fredwave, Kasien + more. Musically, it sits at the convergence of glossy club music and the rough-edged, DIY underground sounds that p-rallel and co have come up on: like a soundtrack for an inner city beach party, it matches boujie with bad. Featuring previous singles ‘Believe’ (labelled some of his “best work to date” by Complex), the amapiano inspired ‘Get Down’ and today’s balearic infused track ‘Vibes’, Forward marks the beginning of a new era for p-rallel – an exploration into clubbier soundscapes in a style that’s decidedly his own.
At just 21 years old, p-rallel has cultivated a reputation enviable to producers and creatives that far outweigh his years. As a teenager, he responded to Twitter callouts for studio engineers, and soon found himself manning the boards for Rejjie Snow and Playboi Carti, and then, at just 16 years old, running sessions in Lily Allen’s London studios and rubbing shoulders with the likes of Skepta and Tiffany Calver at parties. Nowadays, he’s the go-to producer and DJ for London alt-rap scene leaders including Lord Apex, and Finn Foxell – operating together under the Elevation/Meditation banner – and has held down tour DJ duties for slowthai, Jeshi, and Lava La Rue.
Unphased by the pandemic, p-rallel has been riding a wave of success following the release of breakout singles with Greentea Peng (‘Soulboy‘), Venna (‘Westborn’) and Juls (‘1985’) during lockdown. He is revered in the industry, having been crowned one to watch by Wonderland, Notion as well as New Wave Magazine for 2022, in addition to widespread press support from the likes of The FADER, Trench, Complex, Clash, Crack, The Face, Notion, Boiler Room + many more. p-rallel has picked up plays across UK radio from Radio 1, 1Xtra, 6Music and Rinse FM and recently performed a sold-out 2500 cap Warehouse Project set in Manchester, in partnership with Boiler Room. His DIY approach of championing similar artists marks him as a maverick of his generation, in part responsible for the changing face of London’s sonic and clubbing landscapes. In his own words, “you only get one come-up” and p-rallel is taking the time to enjoy his.
