If you want to see the best showcase at SXSW…we definitely have atleast put up the most posters besides the British embassy. In fact no disrespect…we have covered up many British Embassy posters but their showcases are the next best lol..
I am rapping outside everywhere and already lost my speaker but the Shwarma truck found it last night at 2:30 and saved me from buying a new one. I have met many people who know me from Rapping in Channel 5 and New York Nico and Whatisnewyork. I played toe Soho house for first time.

Since 2012, OY VEY SXSW was the brainchild of rapper Kosha Dillz’ vision of a variety showcase of the craziest music combination to make you use that Yiddish expression OY VEY! After seeing the show flourish as a renegade day party in its first three years, 2015 the Oy Vey show finally earned its buzz to become an official SXSW showcase and the only showcase with a Jewish twist ranging from Klezmer and indie-pop to Gangsta Rap. In 2022, after surviving two years of Pandemic at SXSW and one virtual performance, Kosha Dillz and his OY VEY Showcase return for the 10th anniversary of OY VEY SXSW star-studded line up across the spectrum.
Headlined by Chattanooga Gangsta Rap queen BBYMUTHA this year alongside LGBTQ Pop Icon Shamir and RnB sex Legends in Flynt Flossy and Turquoise Jeep (responsible for the hits of “Smang it” and “Fried or Fertilized”) the showcase will be one of the most sought after DIY showcases. It also has the Americana vibes of Lyons and Co followed by Austin cowboy trash rock of Me nd Adam, indie-pop of Oregon’s Novi , Australian rock duo Wanderers, and Mexican-Jewish lyricist SPEAK, a hip hop songwriter known for penning Kreayshawn’s worldwide hit “Gucci Gucci” as well Oklahoma City’s Jabee and the number one NFT rapper in the world with Spottie Wifi. And if you love SXSW for its tech portion let’s not forget that OY VEY will be opened by Broken Robots!
OY VEY’s last SXSW occurrence was in 2019 with Phony Ppl and Gangsta Boo headlining it landed in the Variety Magazine top SXSW showcases of 2019.
The OY VEY Showcase will take place Thursday 3/17 at Empire Control Room at 606 E 7th street from 8 pm – 2am.
