Brontes Album Is Here! Bluebells is Coming !
At 9.19am on July 21st 2021, I sent a message to Brontes suggesting it might be an idea to have a chat … Today, almost 5 years later, Julia and I drove through to Seabass to collect their debut LP. It’s been a long time coming and occassionally we wondered if it might never materialise. We couldn’t be more proud of this album and we couldn’t be more excited to be releasing it in a couple of weeks time. We have some very cool things planned with the Girls.
Earlier this week Eva was through at the plant watching the album being pressed, on Friday they will be featured as BBC Introducing’s artist of the week. The following week will see them host a listening event at Loud & Clear and play a launch show at LNFG Towers, before they join Pearl Charles and many others at our 10th Birthday Bash in May.
It seems that the only thing lacking would be the announcement of a tour .. ….well then you will be glad to know that we have that in hand also!
In October this year the band will play shows in Leeds, Newcastle, Manchester and London supported at each by label mates Bogle (who will also open on April 25th at The Towers) Tickets for the shows will go live at the end of the month!
Whilst we were through at Seabass, we collected the Test Pressings for Mohair, One Day 40, Pressure Point and The Bluebells. This adds to the tests recently collected for wojtek the bear, Autoleisureland, The Countess of Fife and The Frank and Walters. It is going to be a very very busy few weeks at the Towers.
On the subject of releases and shipping, we can confirm that the first major LNFG Members shipments will be concluded in the last week of April, Gold 6 Members can look forward to receiving the afforementioned albums from Brontes & The Bluebells, along with Scarlet Fantastic. Those with Gold 9 through to Unobtanium Memberships can also expect records from Andy White and Amy Duncan. Some of you may already have received a number of these, and those of you lucky enough to do so, will be receiving their second batch in late May, including the additional releases listed above. Silver memberships will also fuflil in late April.
On Monday Night BBC Radio 6 Music will premiere the brand new single from The Anchoress, There will be some additional exciting news on the day. Catherine will be live on the station at around 6pm.
I promised a number of you that we would have some of those special customer stories to tell you in our next newsletter, alas you will have to wait for a wee while longer. The antics of Timo, Nigel and Phil will just have to form part of the next epistle.
Don’t Forget that we have three artists playing live on Record Store Day. Opening proceedings at around 4pm will be latest LNFG signing “Vickie Paxton”, she will be joined by Elgin and the Marbles before Xan Tyler and Dusty Stray headline at around 6pm.
The following month we have wojtek the bear and The Muloons playing live at Cottiers. Don’t forget our Birthday Party on May 9th – we have a few other shows that might be worth checking out
