New Dandelion Radio Session EP from Postcode
This year manx alt-rock (or zebracore) band Postcode were honoured to be asked to record a session for Dandelion Radio. The session was aired in September on Mark Whitby’s show and can now be downloaded from https://postcode.bandcamp.com/album/the-dandelion-radio-session on a name-your-price basis courtesy of Small Bear Records.
The EP is the first release by the newest line-up of the band, comprised of drummer Jonny Peacock, bassist Steve Halsall, guitarist Kieran Ball and founding members Marie Reynolds and Mikie Daugherty. Containing five tracks, the EP features three new songs, alongside the first electric version of ‘Donny’ and a rendition of ‘Reds’ recorded specially for the session. Following a series of records that saw Postcode experimenting with slowcore, shoegaze and indiepop, ‘The Dandelion Radio Session’ sees them in more familiar alternative rock territory, closer to their live shows, with hints of post-punk and the occasional nod to post-rock thrown in.
