Gin Wigmore will release a new single ‘Willing To Die’– featuring appearances from Logic and Hilltop Hoods’ Suffa – on February 26, 2016 through Island Records. The track is the latest to be lifted from much-praised new album Blood To Bone (out now)– a #1 release in Wigmore’s native New Zealand with 23 million Spotify plays worldwide- and follows previous singles ‘New Rush’ (featured on the latest FIFA 16 Soundtrack) and the Radio 2-supported ‘Written In The Water’. Following sell-out shows across the U.S., Australia and New Zealand, alongside the NZ Award for Best Female, Gin is currently about to embark on her largest ever North American tour to date.
Recorded in Los Angeles and taking on the role of co producer alongside songwriter/producer Stuart Crichton, Blood To Bone showcases Gin Wigmore’s distinctive gravelly voice taken to it’s most soulful depths while drawing inspiration from her personal life for her most personal album yet. This is an artist at the top of her game and in control of her future.

You sense Wigmore has come some distance since her accidental teenage entry into music, when her elder sister entered Gin’s self-penned song into the U.S.’s prestigious International Song-writing Competition (previous winners include Gotye & Passenger). The song ‘Hallelujah’, written in response to the death of her father the preceding year, went on to win the Grand Prize, in the process making Wigmore the only unsigned winner in the competition’s history. The coup proved to be no fluke when Wigmore’s debut EP Extended Play went platinum in NZ, with Ryan Adams’ band The Cardinals subsequently signing on for recording duties across her first album Holy Smoke. 2013’s double platinum follow up Gravel & Wine spawned hit singles including ‘Man Like That’, synced to a Skyfall-themed Heineken advertisement, in which Gin appeared alongside Daniel Craig’s James Bond.
