London based Indie Dance band, Infadels, are pleased to announce details of a special 10th anniversary reissue of their debut album ‘We Are Not The Infadels’ to be released on 18th November through [PIAS].
Originally signed to cult English label Wall Of Sound in 2006, ‘We Are Not The Infadels’ spawned genre defining hits like ‘Love Like Semtex’ and ‘Can’t Get Enough’. The band consisting of vocalist Bnann (Danny) Watts, Matt Gooderson – guitars/programming, Wag (Wayne) Marshall-Page – bass, Richie Vernon – live keys and Alex Bruford – drums, supported the release with an almost constant touring schedule with over 150 shows in 20 countries in 2006 alone. This included two UK tours, three European tours, two Australian tours, a number of shows in the USA & China and 35 festival dates.
Bnann explains: “It’s amazing to think it’s been ten years since we recorded ‘We Are Not The Infadels’ and we’re very proud to see it rereleased. It’s was one of the strangest and best times of our lives recording it and after much excessive touring, partying, poverty and planning it finally came together with Jagz Kooner behind the wheel. We managed to capture our love of electronic rock n roll and the spirit of our energetic and often physically dangerous live shows and at the time we were happy with what we delivered. Listening back now it seems very much ahead of its time and mostly brimming with a vibe of utter commitment to making something urgent and full of life on the edge of destruction.”
The special anniversary re-issue contains a whopping 45 tracks featuring unreleased demos, live recordings and remixes from Metronomy, Mekon, Felix Da Housecat and more.
