LA-based rap artist Azizi Gibson has launched ‘High’ — the second single from his hotly-anticipated new album, ‘Memoirs Of The Reaper’.

‘High’, follows quickly on the heels of lead album single, ‘Nintendo King’ — a track described by High Snobiety as a ‘stone-wall banger’ — and again taps into Gibson’s flair for abstract beats and punchy lyricism, all the while channeling a sense of open-ended humility rarely associated with the US rap game.

Born in Frankfurt and raised between Thailand and Singapore before moving to Maryland with his family aged 11, Gibson, formerly of Flying Lotus’ influential Brainfeeder imprint, has since released a flurry of EPs — the majority released through Wacka Flocka Flame’s 32BrickHouse agency. He then launched his own imprint preHISTORIC in 2015, the label through whom he’ll release new album, ’Memoirs Of The Reaper’ later this year.

Looking ahead to the summer, Gibson has also announced he will be a special guest on THEY’s forthcoming ‘NU Religion’ tour in May, taking in a series of dates across Scandanavia, Germany, France, Belgium, The Netherlands, the Republic Of Ireland and the UK.
