Melbourne based producer Wayfarer// teams up with NOVAA on “Why’d You Let Me Out”, the second single off upcoming Garden State EP, due out later this year.
The pop-leaning track is resplendent with explosive, glittery production, “Why’d You Let Me Out” is made all the more special by the enchanting and evocative vocal strains lent to it by German producer and songwriter, Novaa.
“Lately I’ve been drawing a lot of influence from the British future soul scene, acts like Jai and Anup Paul and Nao.
My little studio has been getting turned into a sauna by the Australian summer – a far cry from the cold climates I’ve been drawing influence from – but I tried to take that British feel and combine it with what was around me. I think it came through, Melbourne has a real vibe in summer and it just gave the record some extra bounce”.
Funnily enough, we crossed back to that freezing Northern Hemisphere for a feature from Germany based artist Novaa whose solo stuff blew me away. She hit the feel I was looking for straight away and we just ran with it from there”. – Wayfarer//
WYLMO follows on from collaborative debut single ‘Break’ w/ North Elements and featuring Denitia (denitia and sene).
