London quintet Chemtrails are releasing their second EP Headless Pin Up Girl today following praise from ex Stereogum, The Line of Best Fit, Clash, DIY etc and it arrives six months after the release of their acclaimed debut EP Love In Toxic Wasteland. Six tracks of addictive garage pop, it’s a taste of things to come as the band is currently hard at work on their upcoming debut LP while playing regularly around their hometown London.
About Chemtrails
Punk Slime Recordings are proud to present the London quintet Chemtrails, led by the musical and romantic partnership of Mia Lust and Laura Orlova. After their debut live show at Trans Pride festival in Brighton, and sharing a few demos on online early last year (which quickly picked up praise from the likes of Elvis Depressedly frontman Mat Cothran) Chemtrails introduced themselves with the debut single “Aeons” in late September last year before their debut hometown gig as part of PNKSLM’s Slime Ball weekender.
In December they released the debut EP Love in Toxic Wasteland following praise from ex DIY, The Line of Best Fit, GoldFlakePaint, Amazing Radio, The Le Sigh and KEXP, and otoday their second EP Headless Pin Up Girl is released via PNKSLM Recordings. Chemtrails are also currently working on their upcoming debut LP, which is tentatively scheduled for this fall.
Chemtrails is Mia Lust (vocals, guitar), Laura Orlova (vocals, guitar), Laura Sumner (vocals, bass), Ian Jubb (keyboard) and Sam Nuebär (drums). All songs written and produced by Mia Lust.
