Melodic punk outfit SPOILERS is set to release their first full-length album Roundabouts in September 2018. This record is the anticipated follow-up to a 7-inch single and 2015’s EP Stay Afloat, a well-received and highly lauded debut that sold out upon its release.
Little Rocket Records will release 150 limited edition red / yellow splatter LPs in North America as part of a multinational effort to share this album far and wide. Other colour releases, limited to 150 copies each, are available from Boss Tuneage, Brassneck Records and Sbam Records.
Following the release of Roundabouts, SPOILERS plan to tour in Canada and the US in 2019.
Hailing from the South East of England, the Kent-based SPOILERS came together in 2015 after lead singer and rhythm guitarist Dan Goatham (Southport, 7 Day Conspiracy, More than Normal) heard demo tracks from an older project. Revisiting those songs evolved into the current four-piece line-up including Ben Davis (More than Normal), Stu Randall (7 Day Conspiracy) and Leon Packer.
After three short and busy years of playing shows, SPOILERS continue with gigs all over the UK and Europe and share the stage with some of the biggest acts in punk rock, including Snuff, NOFX, Lagwagon, Face to Face, Alkaline Trio, and A Wilhelm Scream.
Their success is due to what initially appears to be a pop punk project but is grounded in a tight melodic hardcore tradition. To do this SPOILERS mix catchy vocal melodies with riffs that wouldn’t be out of place in the early Snuff period and the energy they exert could easily be compared to the combination of China Drum and Gorilla Biscuits in a fist fight with Osker.
