Mean Caesar release the Mean Caesar EP on October 5th

South London juggernauts Mean Caesar are celebrating the release of their self-titled EP on October 13 at the New Cross Inn, London. Billed as South London Summer Fest, Mean Caesar is hosting this toga-themed festival, giving singer Danny Lester and the boys an excuse to drape themselves in their finest linens while they rip through the hooky, urgent tracks that make up this first record.

Mean Caesar EP features their first single “South London Summer” and is available digitally and on a limited edition 12”. The vinyl release includes the rare yellow Mean Caesar logo on the B-side. The album was released October 5th and is available from Little Rocket Records.
Insatiably sharp, “South London Summer” celebrates finding idiosyncratic friends sharing life’s misadventures in the big city. “I’m thankful everyday that this bunch of misfits happened to cross my way / We’d prop up the Monty bar where talking endless shit can get you far / We’d toast our failures in the park and wonder reckless streets in the dark.” The rest of the songs on the EP, which Mean Caesar wrote and perfected over two years, deal with personal loss and the dark side of London. This is amplified, technically informed music and the band demonstrates its punk mastery, churning out consistently well-honed and rugged tracks.
Vocalist Danny Lester, guitarists Oliver Ward and David Littlefair, bassist Stu Henson and drummer Stu Morrison recorded this infectiously melodic album with veteran post-hardcore engineer Joe Watson.
