Wisconsin-based newcomer Boy Bjorn provides his own unique, alternative take on the festive classic All I Want For Christmas Is You, released 30th November via Communion Records.
Having released acclaimed debut record Mistaken Animals in October, exploring hefty, personal topics including nostalgia, isolation and anxiety, Communion’s latest signee changes up his approach with this latest release and opens up a different side of his character.
“Who doesn’t get a little thrill down their spine when they hear those first chords of this classic?” states the songwriter, one half of electronic folk duo Foreign Fields. “I understand the thrill quickly turns into panic as the thought hits you “I won’t stop hearing this song for two more months!” To the control freaks, the obsessive types, I offer you this alternative to this now ubiquitous kernel of holiday truth.
