THE JAPANESE HOUSE has shared WE TALK ALL THE TIME, the latest track to be released from her debut album, GOOD AT FALLING, which will be released via Dirty Hit on 1 March.

“It’s about noticing a relationship dying, or changing, whatever way you want to view it,” explains Amber Bain [aka The Japanese House] of the deceptively upbeat WE TALK ALL THE TIME. “It was one of those weird, prophetic songs where I write it down, and then it happens in real life. It’s not because I can tell the future, it’s because I’m creating it, or maybe I can sense it’s going to happen.”

To celebrate the release of GOOD AT FALLING, Amber has announced that she will also visit three Rough Trade stores across the country for live acoustic performances. Produced by THE JAPANESE HOUSE, BJ BURTON [Low, Bon Iver] and GEORGE DANIEL from the 1975, GOOD AT FALLING follows four acclaimed Eps and includes the singles LILO and MAYBE YOU’RE THE REASON as well as FOLLOW MY GIRL. The album began as demos recorded by Bain on her laptop in her room in London, and was finished in studios across Wisconsin, Brussels and Oxford. The result is an album that draws from Bain’s life in a way her work never has before; a more personal, vulnerable and yet confident body of work. “These songs are definitely more direct,” she explains. “The album has a lot more of me in it, so it makes sense.”
