Rising singer and songwriter Sonia Stein has just released the final single ‘House in Spain’ taken from her new ‘Eat Your Words’ EP which has been produced by Ben Jones (Kelly Rowland, Tinie Tempah, Mary J Blige).
Sonia’s new single ‘House In Spain’’ is the opening track of the EP, which features three tracks that tell the story of a personal experience Sonia had a few years ago, when a guy she was seeing totally cut off contact one day after an intense 2-month relationship.
The overarching theme of Sonia’s ‘Eat Your Words’ EP is about questioning why someone in the early stages of a relationship, would say all those things that they obviously didn’t mean.
In her own words, “House in Spain is the first of the three track EP eat your words and it’s the rawest for me. I wrote it on the day everything went down so it describes the shock of realising that things were suddenly ending. The house in Spain is a reference to an actual plan that we had made, something that I felt was proof for the fact that the relationship was going somewhere and had a future. Things that were said and then unofficially taken back is a reoccurring theme in the EP which is why it is titled Eat Your Words.”
Previous singles from Sonia include, ‘Party’, ‘Do You Love Me’, ‘One of Those Things’, ‘Muse’ & ‘Change Shapes’, which now combine circa 3-million views on You Tube and over half a million Spotify streams.
Sonia spent most of 2018 in the studio finishing off several new EP’s set for release this year and has also previously tour supported the likes of Alice Merton, Betsy and Alice Jemi.
