Fun Adults Stream: New Track ‘Acacia’

Single Launch Party October 15th Debut Single Released October 15th on Tough Love

Leeds four piece Fun Adults recently announced their debut single on London avant-pop label Tough Love (Slime, Weird Dreams, Cymbals) with the enthusiastically received track ‘Sap Solid‘, a showcase of their cunning, sophisticated crystalline pop that had quickly garnered nigh 20,000 plays on Soundcloud. Fun Adults are now pleased to unveil the second track from their debut single with ‘Acacia‘, an equally enchanting piece of twilight-lit textures, sinuous melody and sparkling electronic flourish.

Celebrating the forthcoming release, Fun Adults will be hosting a single launch party at Nation Of Shopkeepers in Leeds on Monday October 15th, supported by Yorkshire duo Tibetian Youth, which will feature suitably atmospheric projected visuals and lighting.

Fun Adults play the following dates:

15.10 Leeds – Nation Of Shopkeepers with Tibetan Youth
01.11 Manchester – Trof with Pale Seas

Hailing from the West Country and nurtured in Leeds, Fun Adults, the four-piece of Dan Jacobs, Kyle Molleson, Declan Pleydell-Pearce and Huw Thomas combine off-kilter pop melodies and percussive arrangements with classic songwriting craft.

The band have spent the summer renovating a 200-year-old barn into a studio, where they wrote, recorded and produced the tracks, alongside friend and producer Tom Howe. Acting as a self-sufficient creative hub, the attention to detail is evident: from the intricately layered arrangements and hi-fidelity production to the vivid, oil-painted artwork and animated imagery that accompanies their work.
Dense yet translucent, languid yet sharp-edged, ‘Sap Solid/Acacia’ is an intriguing introduction to Fun Adults‘ world of brash colors and elusive shadow play.
