The Chapman Family Play Free Gig At The Old Blue Last – 5th November

With Guitars happy to remind you of Chapman Family’s release of ‘Cruel Britainnia’ which served as a Lone voice in a summer full of patriotism.

Self-produced ‘Cruel Britannia’ indeed showcases their best song writing to date, continuing their reign as one of the best alternative bands in the country.

The band return from their tour of Germany to play one London night only, a free gig at The Old Blue Last.

4* in The Fly celebrated the EPs “brutally frank narration and blood-throated battle cries,” whilst Drowned in Sound’s 9/10 review eulogized it as their “strongest collection of songs to date,” and “this generations ‘God Save the Queen.’”

Clash proclaimed that the band are “as relevant in 2012 as they were three years ago – a British rock band to follow in The Horrors’ murky wake.”
