As a band celebrated for creating fearlessly innovative music, PVT are excited to be entering into a brand new stage what with the recent release of first single ‘Nightfall’ from their upcoming fourth studio album ‘Homosapien’, new label signings, and world tours.

Speaking of world tours, PVT recently finished their huge US tour with Menomena and they made a remix of their tour mates’ song ‘Plumage’ to celebrate the occasion as recently premiered by Stereogum.

PVT also stopped in for a session with Out of Town Films while in Philadelphia, where you can see them performing a stripped back yet hi-tech version of ‘Nightfall’.

PVT are now off to Europe tonight, where they will be joining Gotye and Bloc Party on tour for the rest of the year. The live schedule also includes a one-off headline show at London’s Birthdays on the 28th November. Full details are below.

The follow-up to 2010’s acclaimed ‘Church With No Magic’, PVT’s forthcoming new album is entitled ‘Homosapien’, a powerful body of work built upon the concept of the human condition. It’s first single, ‘Nightfall’, stays true to their driving impulse to create new, genre-defying music. While incorporating throbbing vintage drum machines and found-sound samples, we see vocals take on a greater importance than ever before. ‘Nightfall’ was released digitally 22nd October via Felte in the UK and Europe, then globally on 23rd October.

Adding to the momentum taking shape in the lead up to the release of ‘Homosapien’ is the wonderful news that PVT signed on with the highly respected labels Felte (ROW ex. France) and Create/Control (ANZ). Felte recently released the self-titled album by Brooklyn-based band ERAAS.

Whilst on the road, PVT are set to perform their new material for the first time internationally including the recently leaked opening track from the album, ‘Shiver’. Floating and arresting, ‘Shiver’ offers an enticing insight into the band’s new body of work, along with its captivating video clip directed by Australian filmmaker Tex Crick.
