Today, GRACEY shares brand new single ‘Gone’ – the first new music to come from the rapidly-rising new voice in pop this year. Following in the footsteps of her astonishing debut EP ‘Imposter Syndrome’, ‘Gone’ is an impeccable modern pop song. After having surgery on her vocal chords and a subsequent painful period of forced rest and silence, ‘Gone’ is the first track that GRACEY wrote when she got her voice back and as a result, it carries the weight of a future pop powerhouse, bursting to deliver.
In her own words, “‘Gone’ is about the difference between the way I am around myself compared to the way I am around others – this comparison between our outer selves and inner selves. This idea and feeling sparked in my head after undergoing my vocal surgery last year. I felt this overwhelming sense of feeling voiceless for weeks as I recovered, whilst still trying to keep up an appearance that everything was fine. It’s the same feeling that I had experienced after a break-up a few years before, but the surgery really made it hit home. I decided to channel this disconnected feeling into a concept which felt more universal as I always want my music to connect people together and I felt this way more people could relate. ‘Gone’ was the first song I wrote after returning to writing and singing, so it is very special to me.”

‘Gone’ finds GRACEY moving into her exciting next chapter. With her debut EP now under her belt, and a first ever headline show at Laylow in London recently packed to the rafters, she’s looking confidently into 2020. Already tipped as one of the most exciting new voices in British pop, as well as an in-demand songwriter for some of the biggest names in the game, GRACEY was recruited at 16 as a top-line writer for Xenomania and now at still only 22, she’s stepping into her own, dazzling limelight as an artist in her own right.
