Jens Lekman’s UK/EU Tour Starts Soon, Shares Neil Young Cover. Jens’ Fans Triumph Over Hurricane Sandy

New album ‘I Know What Love Isn’t’ out now on Secretly Canadian

Jens Lekman’s second UK and European tour of 2012 starts soon on the 22nd November at Dublin’s Whelans. Catch Jens and his band on several dates, all detailed below.

Whilst on his US tour, friend and tour guest Victoria Bergman of Taken By Trees, joined Jens on stage in Los Angeles for a live collaboration of Neil Young’s ‘Lotta Love’.

During that same tour, nature came close to derailing the run of US east coast dates when Hurricane Sandy left his keyboardist stranded in a turbulent New York, unable to get his flight out to the first show. A shoutout was posted on Jens’ loyal Facebook page wall, and thanks to two fans, piano man Jonas was driven to safety in Boston to start the tour end of last week. Jens was overwhelmed by the response, posting on his Smalltalk blog, “wow, I’m amazed. I didn’t know I had such an army to mobilize. This makes me feel mad with power.” The erudite Swede is currently writing a thank you song for the tour-saving Olivia and Maddy, all proving that the end of the world isn’t bigger than Jens Lekman.

Jens recently released the video for current single ‘Become Someone Else’s’. Taken from his current full length ‘I Know What Love Isn’t’, the video is Lekman’s third collaboration with director Marcus Söderlund. The two artists chose to record at the Råbjerg Mile dunes in Denmark where the image for the album cover was also shot.
