Breeze Shares new single ft Cadence Weapon / Announces album

Toronto artist/producer called Breeze (aka Josh Korody) who’s worked on records by Dilly Dally and Beliefs previously, he’s also helped with mixing/engineering on albums by Tess Parks, Weaves and Partner amongst others. We’re announcing his second record under the Breeze moniker with this first single, “Come Around” which features guest vocals from Cadence Weapon, the Toronto-based rapper who’s scored a bunch of success recently with his album, Parallel World (tips at Bandcamp Daily, FLOOD, FADER, Brooklyn Vegan, Stereogum, NPR etc) – might you consider this for support?

This first single is a real eye into the new record – Only Up, out August 26 via Hand Drawn Dracula – that draws heavily on British sounds of the last few daces, the Happy Mondays, Charlatans, Primal Scream, The Orb and Gang of Four all come to mind. Huge swampy synth lines and electro-pop-infused psychedelia all play big roles here. Only Up features an array of guest appearances including the aforementioned Cadence Weapon, Tess Parks, members of Orville Peck’s band, Tallies, Vallens, Zoon, Ducks Ltd, Broken Social Scene, Blonde Elvis, TOPS, and more.
