After making a triumphant return to the stage this summer, today south London quartet Dry Cleaning announce details of new UK shows for later this year. The band will round out 2021 with two headline shows in Hebden Bridge (Trades Club, 1 December) and Norwich (Arts Centre, 2 December) and as the main support for Sleaford Mods at their upcoming Nottingham, Cardiff and Brighton shows.

Born from the combined creative talents of Nick Buxton (drums), Tom Dowse (guitar), Lewis Maynard (bass) and Florence Shaw (vocals), Dry Cleaning’s debut album New Long Leg was released in April 2020 to universal acclaim. Produced by John Parish at Rockfield Studios, it features the singles ‘Scratchcard Lanyard’, ‘Strong Feelings’ and ‘Unsmart Lady’. Intertwining Shaw’s spoken vocals tightly with the band’s restless instrumentals they extract the meaning from the most trivial things; little witty asides about supermarkets, cupboards, beauty products and body parts add up to sonic landscapes that teem with the strange magic of ordinary life. Earlier this summer, Dry Cleaning followed the success of New Long Leg with one-off double A-side single ‘Bug Eggs’ / ‘Tony Speaks!’.
