I’m inviting you to a special performance of American Utopia on 3/30

American Utopia’s Broadway run closes on April 3rd. It’s still, after a number of years, a joy to perform this show, but creatively I sense it might be time to move on.

Similar to the inspiration behind American Utopia, I founded my non profit, Arbutus, out of a sense of curiosity and imagination. Our mission at Arbutus is to celebrate, re-present and amplify ideas found in surprising places, and to ensure that our picture of the world contains the joy that it should, and is accessible to everyone.

As the end of this run comes into view, Arbutus and I are selling special tickets to the show on March 30th – proceeds from the tickets will support Arbutus and our 2022 programs Reasons to be Cheerful, our online magazine, and Theater of the Mind, which premieres in Denver this fall.

Now, these tickets aren’t cheap. They are at “Gala level” prices. You might be wondering: why would I buy these tickets at a significant mark-up? Well, your generous support will go a long way towards making sure that Arbutus’ programs thrive, hopefully making the world a little lighter and a little brighter.
