The Umbrella Academy Season 3 teaser released
UMBRELLA ACADEMY SEASON 3 TEASER RELEASED
Netflix has released a short teaser for the next season of their adaptation of The Umbrella Academy comic books, and things are looking dark for the superhero team.
In the clip, we see Hargreeves and the rest of the main hero cast glaring at the kids from Sparrow Academy to an orchestral piece of incidental music, before it ominously cuts to a black matte with the words “the sparrows have landed.” How dramatic!

In the time since the last season (which was released in July 2020 — which feels like forever ago now), there have been several hints that time travel hijinks will be involved in the upcoming plotline and that things will get weirder than ever.
Netflix has all but confirmed that now, describing the upcoming series as follows:
“After putting a stop to 1963’s doomsday, the Umbrella Academy return home to the present, convinced they prevented the initial apocalypse and fixed this godforsaken timeline once and for all. But after a brief moment of celebration, they realize things aren’t exactly (okay, not at all) how they left them. Enter the Sparrow Academy. Smart, stylish, and about as warm as a sea of icebergs, the Sparrows immediately clash with the Umbrellas in a violent face-off that turns out to be the least of everyone’s concerns. Navigating challenges, losses, and surprises of their own — and dealing with an unidentified destructive entity wreaking havoc in the Universe (something they may have caused) — now all they need to do is convince Dad’s new and possibly better family to help them put right what their arrival made wrong. Will they find a way back to their pre-apocalyptic lives? Or is this new world about to reveal more than just a hiccup in the timeline?”
Season 3 isn’t shaking things up much cast wise and will see Elliot Page, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher, Ritu Arya, Justin H. Min, Adam Godley, and Colm Feore return alongside newcomers Justin Cornwell, Britne Oldford, Jake Epstein, Genesis Rodriguez and Cazzie David.
We’re excited to see what happens next, and we won’t have to wait long, because The Umbrella Academy Season 3 arrives on June 22, 2022.
