KiLLOWEN shares NOTION remix of viral track ‘Sober’ External Inbox
Following the wildfire success of his breakthrough single ‘Sober’, West-London’s KiLLOWEN today shares a remix of the track by bassline heavyweight NOTION ahead of a summer of festival performances including The Great Escape, Parklife and Reading & Leeds. The original garage anthem was written and produced entirely by 23-year-old multi-instrumentalist and has since racked up over 1.8M streams organically on Spotify, garnered 18M views on TikTok with thousands of comments from his growing fanbase and peaked at #20 on the Top 50 UK Viral chart.
Having gained some serious attention on social media with a short snippet of the original cut in the months leading up to its official release, ‘Sober’ became a viral sensation and looks set to bring the artist the recognition he deserves. Cutting his teeth in the world of SoundCloud rap before expanding his vision to encompass his unique fusions of UK garage, hip hop, dance and soul, ‘Sober’ does well to showcase everything rising KiLLOWEN stands for in an honest reflection of his battles with addiction.
Picking up his first instrument at the age of 8, producing by 13 and writing at 14, in less than 10 years KiLLOWEN is pushing forward and honing his craft with an impressive roll call of ongoing collaborators including p-rallel, Yiigaa, Arlo Parks, Louis Culture and Finn Foxell + more. With his 2022 releases landing him Spotify’s New Music Friday (across 5 countries), Our Generation, Fresh Finds UK, and Fresh Finds Pop as well as support from the likes of CLASH, Complex, Fred Perry, Trench, EARMILK, Mixtape Madness, DUMMY, and consistent radio spins on BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra from Adele Roberts, Jack Saunders, Gemma Bradley, Jeremiah Asiamah (Coldest Record) and Sian Anderson and Kiss Fresh, KiLLOWEN is ready to make 2023 his own. Stay tuned for more from this one to watch.
