Sonic Boom Six – Karma Is A Bitch (Xtra Mile Recordings)

‘Karma Is A Bitch’ is one of Sonic Boom Six’s rockier number in a similar style to the excellent debut single ‘Virus’ from the same self-titled album.

The track features everything you’d expect from SB6: a big explosive intro, Laila singing the choruses and Barney rapping, some group shouting, a drop out that builds and builds and a sudden ending that leaves you wanting more.

The B-side ‘A Little Bit Of Reggae’ is a commercial reggae influenced song with a slow rap from Barney and a sweet chorus from Laila over a loose reggae beat. Yes it’s reggae but not as you know it.

Also included is a bonus track, an acoustic version of ‘Virus’, it’s interesting but not a patch on the original version, which is quite possibly their finest moment. 7.8/10
