Underworld x KETTAMA share new single ‘Fen Violet’

Underworld and KETTAMA return for 2024 with a brand new track, ‘Fen Violet’.

Last year KETTAMA and Underworld brought us G-Town Euphoria (Luna) – a reinvention of Underworld’s 2023 single, Denver Luna. The sonic chemistry was evident. Galway icon, KETTAMA’s bass-driven house anthems were a perfect companion to Underworld’s deep, expansive sound.

Together, they’re the perfect storm – so why not keep the thunder rolling? The proof is in the pudding with the invigorating soundworld of ‘Fen Violet’; an addictively nostalgic piano hook blends with a soaring melody and a kick drum that is sure to ignite any dancefloor.

Underworld’s decades of success are because of their constant quest for innovation – pushing the boundaries of what dance music is. It’s cemented them in the history books and continues to fuel the future of electronic music. This new collaboration-based way of working is no exception. They’ve opened their doors and the results speak for themselves.

The innovation continues in their live shows. Starting this month, Underworld is delivering two sets a night – Open until Close – for many of the gigs on their 2024 UK and European tour. Stops include Berlin, Copenhagen, Oslo, Brussels, Frankfurt, Edinburgh, London and Manchester (full dates below). With nearly 40 years of bangers and a hoard of loyal fans, no wonder they’re delivering a double set.

KETTAMA is a name that has become synonymous with pulsating grooves, rupturing drum patterns and gruelling bass – these elements combine to create the unmistakable and infectious sound of one of Ireland’s greatest musical exports. He’s been building notoriety in the scene since 2018 with his latest release being ‘Fallen Angel’, out now Steel City Dance Discs.
