David Luximon streams single I’m Taking You For A Drive
Perthshire-based musician David Luximon releases brand new single I’m Taking You For A Drive. The track is released on 30th August and is the first from his freshly announced forthcoming album A Certain Frame Of Reference. The album is released on vinyl and digital on 29th November 2024.
Self-produced with the support of Creative Scotland, the track features sumptuous string arrangements and cello from Liz Hanks (Richard Hawley), Stax-like brass from Terry Edwards (PJ Harvey) and drums from Olly Betts (The Duke Spirit), also on mixing duties.
The album was mastered by Paul McGeechan (Starless). Both the single and wider album reflect on what it is to try and support someone through trauma, and to find hope together on the other side. Sometimes the smallest thing, escaping with the one you love on a countryside drive, is all you can do.
