SHORT N’ SWEET TOUR HEADLINE TOUR KICKS OFF NEXT MONTH
Today, Sabrina Carpenter shares her eagerly awaited new album, Short n’ Sweet, out now via Polydor Records. The album, showcasing her showstopping vocals and sharp songcraft, has been poised as one of the most anticipated albums of 2024 and represents the superstar’s culmination of a historic year.
Alongside, Sabrina shares the official music video for album opener, ‘Taste’. The Dave Meyers directed video features Jenna Ortega starring with Sabrina in a thrilling and exhilarating visual experience.
With two smash hits already off the album, Sabrina notably made history by emerging as “the first female artist to top the Billboard Global 200 and Global Ex-US charts simultaneously with two different songs,” namely ‘Espresso’ and ‘Please Please Please’. Carpenter has also continued to break records in the UK, with ‘Espresso’ spending seven non-consecutive weeks at number 1 and ‘Please Please Please’ landing five non-consecutive weeks at number 1. This year Sabrina has surpassed her own milestone as the female artist to occupy numbers 1 and 2 for the longest ever period in the UK charts, at five weeks (equalled only by Ed Sheeran). A true cultural icon, she even starred in an official 2024 NBC Olympics commercial.
Short n’ Sweet was written by Sabrina Carpenter with Amy Allen, Julia Michaels and Steph Jones, along with John Ryan, Julian Bunetta, and Jack Antonoff who also produced the record. This is Sabrina’s most personal album yet, penning 12 tracks that are undeniably relatable and honest, crafting a uniquely diverse yet remarkably cohesive work of art. On the eve of the album release she joined Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show, with a performance at the MTV Video Music Awards also confirmed for next month (where she is up for six awards).
Next month, Sabrina Carpenter will embark on the North American leg of her Short n’ Sweet Tour, which kicks off September 23rd and encompasses 33 sold-out arena dates. Amaare, Griff and Declan McKenna will open, whilst Sabrina has partnered with PLUS1 to launch the Sabrina Carpenter Fund, which will support the well-being of people and animals, including national and local organizations working on mental health issues, animal welfare, and support for the LGBTQ+ community. Sabrina’s Short n’ Sweet Tour hits the UK and Europe early next year, with another instantly sold-out run of arena dates including two nights at The O2 (only Sabrina’s second ever London headline show). Support comes from rising UK star, Rachel Chinouriri.
