NEW YORK, NY (August 23, 2024) — On the prowl with another insidious anthem, the most menacing MC in NYC SosMula of City Morgue shocks and awes with a new single and music video entitled “BOOGIE MAN” out today via Hikari Ultra/Republic Records. The production tenses up like a classic slasher soundtrack, screeching and squealing between a thick bass thump. SosMula’s menacing flow transfixes as the chorus terrorizes “Who that creepin out the window of your fire escape? I’m’a burn your house on fire like a fireplace.” He lives up to the title of “BOOGIE MAN” in the accompanying visual. He presides over fiery forest rituals, raps to the camera out of the dark, and stalks New York through a night vision lens.

He recently dropped “SLEEZY BASTARD – SLASHER PT. 1” and “SLASHER PT. 2.” Beyond registering over millions of streams and views across both videos, he earned critical acclaim. HotNewHipHop professed, “SosMula possesses maybe the most unique mic presence in the world of hip-hop.”

Some artists might inspire infatuation and obsession.  However, SosMula might get you to commit to a new religion altogether. As a solo artist and one-half of City Morgue, he preaches a hardcore street gospel of pain, pleasure, sex, violence, drugs, and the kind of freedom most artists these days are too scared shitless to embody. Mom owned and operated a tattoo shop where SosMula spent countless hours as a kid, listening to the likes of Deftones, Weezer, James Brown, and Bob Marley on the stereo.
