I, The Writer – The Prisoner’s Dilemma

I, The Writer are a six piece melodic metal band from our very own capital which is to anyone who is shit at Geography London. The weapon they bring with them is in the form of an album called The Prisoner’s Dilemma which has eleven skull crushing tracks on it.

Thankfully I, The Writer are taking a step away from what has become the norm  in the British metal scene which is break down after breakdown with no hook, chorus or any hint of originality. It pleases me that a British band is actually able to mix it up and not follow a trend.

It’s always refreshing to hear a decent band but to hear a band that are doing their own thing whilst taking note from their influences is always inspiring. No band should be afraid to be different and try something that might not sit well with routine.

If you want a metal band that has all the heaviness of bands like August Burns Red but along with the melodic ability of heavy metal titans such as Killswitch Engage then I, The Write are for you. 7.7/10
