Notion vs Redlight ‘Get Out My Head’ out now on Chaos Records
OUT NOW ON CHAOS RECORDS
Hot on the heels of his BRIT award nomination for ‘Song Of The Year’, global powerhouse DJ/producer NOTION joins forces with dance music royalty Redlight to breathe new life into one of the UK’s most defining club records, ‘Get Out My Head’.
Originally released in 2012, Redlight’s ‘Get Out My Head’ was an instant UK anthem, storming into the OCC Top 20 at #18 and becoming a staple across dancefloors, festivals and radio alike. A record that soundtracked an era, it captured the raw pulse of UK bass and helped define a generation of club culture. Now, over a decade later, NOTION brings it back.
Already road-tested across major stages worldwide, NOTION’s rework has been sending crowds into a frenzy, with fans demanding an official release after months of ID speculation. A clip of the track uploaded to his SoundCloud has organically amassed over 135,000 plays, 10,000 comments and nearly 200 shares, a clear signal of the anticipation building around the record’s return.
The collaboration feels full circle. As one of the leading forces in the new wave of UK dance music, NOTION has consistently paid homage to the foundations of the scene while propelling it forward. His rework of ‘Get Out My Head’ amplifies the original for a new era of global dancefloors, retaining the unmistakable hook while injecting his bass-driven production that has become synonymous with his name.
To celebrate the release, NOTION and Redlight appeared together at a special pop-up event in collaboration with Save Our Scene last night at The Love Inn, Bristol – a city deeply woven into both artists’ histories and the wider underground movement that shaped them.
Firmly rooted in Bristol’s rich underground culture, NOTION has become one of the leading names pushing the new wave of UK dance music to a global stage, fusing high-octane blends of bassline, garage, and house to create unforgettable club moments. Known for his infectious edits and genre-pushing sets, he’s captured the attention of both mainstream and underground audiences around the globe, refusing to be pigeonholed by scene or genre. His meteoric rise has been punctuated by the massive success of his remix of Chrystal’s ‘The Days’, which has soared to over 600M streams in a year. It is a PlatinumUK record, charted inside the UK Top 5 alongside the US Billboard Hot 100, held a position in the Global Spotify charts for months and has earned him a BRIT nomination for ‘Song Of The Year’. NOTION’s DJ Mag stream earlier this year has over 300K views and his 2025 Global Tour was unprecedented, including Coachella, Glastonbury, Parklife, Outside Lands, San Francisco, ARC Chicago, UNVRS Ibiza and headline shows at The Outernet in London, The Shrine in LA and The Great Hall in New York. Next month he embarks on another global tour, including a AU/NZ run of shows in which he sold 10,000 tickets in 24 hours – full tour dates listed below.
