O’Flynn shares new single ‘Kola’ exclusive track from Barry Can’t Swim’s Late Night Tales Compilation

Acclaimed producer O’Flynn returns with ‘Kola’, an exclusive new single taken from Barry Can’t Swim’s forthcoming Late Night Tales compilation, released 6th March 2026. Landing today via Late Night Tales, ‘Kola’ offers a moment of calm and introspection within the wider arc of the much-anticipated mix.

A real producer’s-producer, O’Flynn has long been championed by tastemakers including Ben UFO, Gilles Peterson, Floating Points, Four Tet and Barry Can’t Swim himself. With ‘Kola’, he delivers a richly textured, emotionally resonant piece that reflects the deeper, more meditative side of his sound, a natural fit for the Late Night Tales universe.

“Music is how I process everything going on in my head,” says O’Flynn. “It fluctuates between the joyful and fun and the heavier, darker moments. ‘Kola’ came from a place of calm, the sort of music I create for myself and to briefly build a world of peace. I think Barry’s Late Night Tales mix is a perfect home for it.”

Positioned at track 14 in the 20-track compilation, ‘Kola’ forms a pivotal point in Barry’s expertly curated journey, sitting alongside selections that range from house classics and leftfield grooves to atmospheric, emotionally rich deep cuts. As one of Barry’s closest friends and collaborators, O’Flynn’s contribution underscores the personal thread running throughout the mix.

O’Flynn arrives at this release with significant momentum. His recent single ‘Fara’ (Glitterbox / Defected) was widely supported across streaming platforms, landing on Spotify’s Altar, DISCOLAND and Editor’s Picks. The track also received strong radio support from BBC Radio 1 and many more. His career to date has marked him out as one of UK electronic music’s most respected names. He has delivered a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix, held a Rinse FM residency, appeared on the Tape Notes podcast, and was previously dubbed The Guardian’s ‘One to Watch’ upon the release of breakthrough single ‘Alethia’.

With a busy run of European live dates throughout March and April, including shows in Berlin, Amsterdam, Paris, London, Manchester, Glasgow and Dublin – ‘Kola’ adds another key moment to O’Flynn’s 2026 campaign, while building anticipation for Barry Can’t Swim’s landmark Late Night Tales release.
