“Love Spells swooning dream pop sounds like someone hypnotized by their spiralling emotions.” – The FADER “He sings in a gauzy, otherworldly falsetto that communicates a sense of intimacy and wistfulness, collaged against a backdrop of dream pop, indie rock, and psychedelia…it’s breathtaking.” Alternative Press

“A mosaic of sound, Love Spells is an identity built through fusion, endlessly overlaying alt-soul, fractal hip-hop production, and indie songwriting aspects.” – CLASH

21-year-old Sir Taegan Harris wears his heart on his sleeve. His vulnerability and craving for devotion led to the moniker everyone knows as Love Spells, which was inspired by his friends teasing him for constantly being in love and romanticizing every aspect of the world.

At 18, the Houston-born singer poured his passion for love into music, manifesting a career out of his ambition as he battled homelessness. His pure talent and resilience for greatness resulted in a call from Kevin Abstract (Brockhampton) who invited Harris to move into a house with him and other creatives to begin working on Abstract’s acclaimed 2025 LP Blush. Since the release and collaborations with Kevin Abstract, Dominic Fike, Deb Never and more, Harris’ dreamy, falsetto vocals are instantly recognizable for their airy texture and hazy, emotional depth; grabbing the attention of artists such as Justin Bieber, Erykah Badu, Young Thug, Lorde, The Marías, RM of BTS and Suki Waterhouse.

Today, Love Spells joins the Toast roaster and continues on his journey of love, returning with ‘Crutch’, a sweet, sultry track that initially premiered on Kevin Abstract and Dominic Fike’s Apple Music Geezer Radio earlier this year. The song is accompanied by a video directed by Alex Lockett, showcasing his delicate and raw choreography in a New York City dance studio.

“‘Crutch’ is about knowing something is bad for you, but continuing on with it anyway,” he shares. “The push and pull of someone who loves you but can’t admit it – they stick around for that feeling of love without ever having to be responsible for yours. They use you as a crutch, and honestly, you use them as one too.”

Crutch’ follows the release of 2025’s ‘Wish I Didn’t Love You and breakout song ‘Lovers Only, amassing over 10.5M streams from his critically acclaimed The Love I Showed You Was Yours To Keep EP, receiving support from BBC, KCRW, NME, CLASH, The FADER, Alternative Press and Wonderland.

To celebrate the release, Love Spells will play a sold-out show at Permanent Records in Los Angeles tonight, April 30th, at 9:00pm. The show follows support on Sharon Van Etten’s tour and special guest appearances alongside Geezer (Kevin Abstract & Dominic Fike) and Deb Never at Camp Flog Gnaw. Later this year, he will play multiple festivals including Lollapalooza, Pukkelpop, All Points East UK and Rock en Sein.

Stay tuned to this space for more music and news from Love Spells soon!
