Wavey teams up with Ghetts and Ryan De La Cruz for melodic rap banger ‘Player’

Fresh off the back of his 2018 hit ‘Wavey’, Brixton UK rap sensation S Wavey has returned for a brand new single, ‘Player’. Featuring Ryan De La Cruz and grime icon Ghetts, ‘Player’ is a hypnotic cut of hard-hitting rap that’s equal parts irresistible flows and infectious melodics.

Produced by Lekaa Beats, ‘Player’ takes the conventions of contemporary UK rap and flips them on their head, creating a fun, energetic heater with more than enough staying power to keep playing into summer and beyond. Coming in strong with heavy duty bars about everyday flexing, S Wavey’s full bodied flow is offset perfectly by Ryan De La Cruz’s soulful tones, lamenting the temptations that come with being young and successful. Complete with a trademark verse from one of grime’s most important artists in Ghetts, his energy spins the track into another dimension, weaving in and out of the instrumental’s pockets in unique fashion.

In ‘Player’, S Wavey continues his golden run of form into 2019. A mesmerising sum of its parts, both Ghetts and Ryan De La Cruz bring their A-game to proceedings for a sonically diverse take on a future UK anthem. A track that’s sure to heat up the colder months on club soundsystems and car stereos alike, ‘Player’ is evidence of a perfect street banger; exhilarating, hard hitting, and completely in its own lane.
