Their food and wine may be massively over-rated but French indie right now is on fire, Yeti Lane, Team Ghost, M83, John & Jehn, Anoraak, all amazing. The Penelopes fit in with that bunch with their jaunty electronic 80’s pop. Apparently influenced by Cocteau Twins and New Order , this is in no way apparent, if you like the early Kitsune releases and when electro became a by-word for indie with keyboards though, here you go, game on. 6/10
