Comeback Kid are now seasoned veterans on the worldwide hardcore circuit. Since their formation in 2000 Comeback Kid have travelled to every corner of the planet carried by their abrasive smash mouth music.

I remember seeing Comeback Kid in 2007 supporting Alexisonfire at the basement in Newcastle and even though I was there to see the headlining act I was highly impressed by Comeback Kid. People think that this entire genre sounds the same but they couldn’t be further from the truth.

Comeback Kid’s new album ‘Die Knowing’ sounds exactly how you expect any Comeback Kid album to sound and this is in no way a bad thing. It’s up tempo, filled with heaviness, brimmed with a harsh snarling vocal and is carried by an old school rock rhythm.

This album not only being great, has a brief guest appearance from original Comeback Kid vocalist Scott Wade on the track ‘Full Swing’ and it is apparent from this track that the guy still has a set of pipes on him. Along with Full Swing the entire album is all killer and no filler, from start to finish it’s something to behold. 8.5/10
