OHBOY! DEBUT SINGLE – ‘EP#1’ RELEASED ON JUST OFF POP – 31STMARCH 2014

Northampton four – piece, OhBoy! are set to release their debut single ‘EP#1’ on the fledgling Just Off Pop label on the 31st of March 2014.
To celebrate the release, OhBoy! will play at a special launch party with DJ sets from Fryars and Just Off Pop at the Pavillion on London’s Brick Lane on the day of the release prior to a hometown show in Northampton on the 4th of April.
Currently picking up extensive airplay, ‘EP#1’ is released as a digital download and features three exhilarating tracks ‘Love And Other Difficulties’, ‘Hand To Mouth’ and ‘Classic Self Doubt’. The recording came about when OhBoy! convinced a friend to use his recording studio one night, the band bundled their gear into the back of a car and recorded the three tracks in around half an hour and the idea of ‘EP#1’ was born.

Although they formed last year and have so far only played a handful of dates, the OhBoy! line up of Lee irons (guitar), Jay Brook (guitar/vocals), Nicola Lee (bass/vocals) and Mark Nicholas (drums) are developing a growing fanbase with their exciting live shows and their own brand of slacker noise pop.
To coincide with the EP release, the band will play the following launch shows, more dates will be announced in the very near future.

Just Off Pop began life last year and this is only the third release on the label following critically acclaimed releases from Sisters – ‘Hush Hush’ and Strangers – ‘Something New’ which were both supported by the likes of NME, Clash, XFM and Huw Stephens.
