Matthew and the Atlas / shares video for new single ‘Nowhere Now’, debut album out now

‘Other Rivers‘, the debut album from Matthew and the Atlas, is out now on Communion Records. The new album is receiving critical acclaim, both in the U.K. and stateside and the video for the brand new single ‘Nowhere Now’ (released 5th May 2014) is available on YouTube below

On Monday, Matthew and the Atlas will kick off a UK tour with support from Brooklyn newcomers, Wilsen. Full tour listings as follows.

Other Rivers was produced by Story Books’ Kristofer Harris and Bear’s Den/Communion’s own Kevin Jones. A number of guests from the extended Communion family make appearances on Other Rivers including the production pair on multiple instruments, as well as the vocals of Australian Matt Corby on “Another Way.”

Matthew Hegarty is the creative force behind Matthew and the Atlas. After two Communion Records released EPs (2011) and a subsequent year of touring in Europe and the U.S., Hegarty retreated home to mull over the songs developing in his head. In the summer of 2013, Hegarty went into the studio to hone the direction of his sound—the result rediscovers his unique voice, albeit this time within a more percussive, non-acoustic soundscape.
