SLOWCOACHES Share split EP ‘Tourists’

‘Tourists’ EP out Monday 15th September + UK Tour next week

Slack metallers Slowcoaches are set to release an exclusive six track split EP ‘Tourists’ with melodic drone-poppers Feature, before hitting the road on a joint UK tour on Monday (September 15th), playing Liverpool, Manchester, Sheffield, Nottingham and Brighton.

The EP features two new tracks from each band plus a Wire cover. Slowcoaches’ track are a long-awaited follow-up to the bands’ ‘Thinkers‘ EP released in November 2013 via Icecapades, and come before their first LP, which is scheduled for release in summer 2015. The new songs show a darker side to the band’s gloriously fuzzed out sound and capture an aggressive energy that has earned them a reputation as one of the most exciting live bands on the underground punk scene.

The split will be available as a download with a limited risograph-printed tour poster by illustrator Sophie Alda at the shows.

Previous Press:
“Sitting somewhere at the grazed knees, hard drugs, and E-number fuelled drinks end of the Stephen Malkmus spectrum, the track emerges out of dimly lit frenetic distortion for a hyperactive minute and a half.” – Noisey
“It’s a gloriously harsh experience.” – DIY
“The Leeds band have made huge leaps forward, sounding more focussed and together but still a little rough around the edges. Grungy riffs, shouty grrrl vocals, unabashed punk fun – We’re So Heavy has it all. Remember the name, something tells us we’re going to be seeing a lot more of Slowcoaches.” – Abeano
“It’s genuinely difficult to believe that this incarnation of the band have been together less than a year, such is their confident , effortless execution… experience Slowcoaches as soon as you can” – Clash
“They play pop songs that have been put through a fuzz blender and make me want to bounce against the walls.” – GoldFlakePaint
