PAUL SMITH & PETER BREWIS ANNOUNCE LIVE PERFORMANCES

STREAM NEW SONG ‘EXITING HYDE PARK TOWERS’

Paul Smith (Maxïmo Park) & Peter Brewis (Field Music) have just announced three performances of their collaborative album Frozen By Sight. To celebrate, they’re streaming a new song from the LP, ‘Exiting Hyde Park Towers’ (below)

FROZEN BY SIGHT LIVE
18 December – Band on the Wall, Manchester TICKETS
19 December – St Giles-in-the-Fields, London TICKETS
20 December – Sage, Gateshead TICKETS

Based around text from Paul Smith’s travel writing, and Peter Brewis’ chamber-band arrangements, Frozen By Sight evolved from a commission for the performance of a new musical work at the Festival Of The North East (at Sage Gateshead in late 2013). These December shows will be the first performances since that inaugural show.

The live band includes David Brewis (drums and vocals), John Pope (acoustic bass), Andrew Lowther (tuned percussion) and will feature a string quartet of Ed Cross (Violin), Josephine Montgomery (violin), Chrissie Slater (viola) and Ele Leckie (cello).
Frozen By Sight is due to be released 17th November on Memphis Industries.
