STREAM / Folk-duo The Worry Dolls – Long Gone
The Huffington Post – “a super-shiny beacon of joy in a dreamland far, far away from the persistently ‘regular’ sound of folk that’s flooding the charts right now”
For Folks Sake – “It’s no secret that we think Worry Dolls are pretty special”
Utterly charming London folk duo The Worry Dolls have made a new stream and video available. It is a taster from their forthcoming ‘Burden’ EP
WORRY DOLLS “BURDEN”
EP Release Date: 18th June 2015
Humorous and charming folk-songwriting combined with sublime harmonies
London indie-folk duo Worry Dolls’ music is packed full of sublime harmonies, atop a plethora of varied instruments, tongue in cheek honest lyrics and a refusal to sing cliché love songs. They have performed at Glastonbury and opened for the best – including Joan Armatrading. They have been making waves in and around the London acoustic scene, collecting praise and accolades as they go.
As well as being played on BBC 6 Music and BBC Radio 2 – Worry Dolls have developed a massive online following – their debut, self-titled EP clocked up over 91,000 views on You Tube and 72,000 hits on SoundCloud.
Worry Dolls / Long Gone
Burden, Worry Dolls second EP will be released, in the UK, on 8 June 2015 – their style has matured – and shifted towards the more rootsier sound of Nashville and Appalachia – though by no means have they lost their Englishness – a busy Summer of festivals – and a UK tour through May and June – go find Worry Dolls this Summer…….
