Stream: DIV I DED- Late Awakening (Dream Pop) + Free Label Compilation
Czech-based (they sing in english) band DIV I DED‘s album, Born to Sleep, on cassette/digital formats on July 17th. The first single is “Late Awakening”.
DIV I DED was created by multi-instrumentalist Filip Helštýn towards the end of 2013 along with lead vocalist Viktorie Marksová. The band’s sound is inspired by melancholic pop and lo-fi folk which subtly breathes through layers of bittersweet melodies and foggy guitar fuzz similar to the Creation Records sound.
On “Late Awakening”, multi-instrumentalist Filip Helstyn conjures a blizzard a of minimalist percussion and tumultuous guitar tones, a churning wall of sound that houses the haunting coo of vocalist Viktorie Marksova.
