After five years playing together, hundreds of dates electrically charged and sweaty, and two EP critically acclaimed, Radkey, punk brothers from Missouri finally announce the release of their debut album ‘Dark Black Makeup’.
Scheduled for August 21 via Little Man Records under exclusive license for Strange Loop Records and distributed worldwide by Kobalt Label Services, the album will be available on CD, vinyl and digital.
Recorded at McCall Sound Studios in Sheffield (England) the side of producer Ross Orton (Arctic Monkeys, The Fall, Jarvis Cocker), this album is a smash punk disc whose 13 tracks demonstrate the ability to Radkey to mix riffs pruned to stadiums and pop sensibility.
You’ve already discovered the first title track ‘Dark Black Makeup’; a call to the youth to regain power over their lives, the cry of rage teenager three musicians barely out of their teens.

Radkey is a punk band from St. Joseph, Missouri composed of three brothers.
Dee, the guitarist and singer is passionate older Japanese, he learns to read and write, like to watch anime and read books by Stephen King, Michael Crichton and Edgar Rice Burroughs. He hates milk, and not just because of his lactose intolerance. This is the kind of hatred rooted within oneself, the kind of hatred we reserve for those who have done us a unspeakable evil. However, he has a soft spot in his heart for cheese.
Isaiah, bassist and younger brother, watching countless movies … Countless WHORE! This makes a lot of movies. Among his favorite directors: Guy Ritchie, Robert Rodriguez and Wes Anderson. Never speak of X-Men 3 to Isaiah, the risk of launch into a diatribe that will make you regret being born. He reads comics, manga and fiction of JRR Tolkien, George RR Martin and CS Lewis. He plays all kinds of video games but not Anrgy Birds “games on the phone does not count brothel”.
Solomon, the drummer and youngest brother has spent hundreds of hours playing Halo, Mario 64 and many other video games. He loves the Royals and Kansas City Chiefs, and does not care what others may say. There is nothing quite spicy for his taste and can add Sriracha sauce in everything that can eat. Top of his list are found Comics and anime as well as Edgar Wright films. He hates flying insects equipped with a dart, but love the dried beef.
