‘I’m Not The Only One’
27 year-old Dunblane-born sing-songwriter Aaron Fyfe recently released his debut album “10 Songs”, co-produced by Francis Macdonald from Teenage Fanclub, to critical acclaim:
“A brilliant calling card from a significant new talent” –The Sunday Times
“A truly soul-bearing singer and songwriter…Proper modern grassroots folk” –Q magazine
“His Caledonian brogue and troubadour heart on his sleeve combine [on] the bearded bard’s impressive debut album.” –Scottish Daily Express
“A voice that is impossible to ignore” –The List
“Aaron Fyfe is the real deal with a quite beautiful voice” – The Crack
Dermot O’ Leary (BBC Radio 2) described single “Love That’s Lost” as “rather beautiful”.
Aaron divides his time between Newquay and Glasgow. He likes surfing, skateboarding acoustic guitars and collecting tattoos.
His favourite artists include Tom Waits and Bob Dylan. But a while ago, for fun, he recorded a stripped back version of Sam Smith’s “I’m Not The Only One” reclaiming commercial pop fare on his on terms. He stuck it on-line. Between Souncloud and Youtube Aaron’s rendering has racked up over 100k plays, prompting requests for it to be made available as a digital single.
Upcoming festival appearances include:
Sat 8th Aug BOARDMASTERS FESTIVAL, Cornwall
SUN 9th Aug WILDERNESS FESTIVAL, Cornbury
Aaron will also be touring with the O’Neills / Butta surf bus, popping up at festivals such as TUNES IN THE DUNES, ELECTRIC BEACG, PLASTIC PLAYGROUND, SURF SNOWDONIA OPENING, SENNEN EXPRESSION SESSIONS and ABERSOCH WATERSPORTS
