NEW ALBUM ‘SOUND & COLOR’ OUT 20TH APRIL

+ NEW UK/EU SHOWS ANNOUNCED INCLUDING BRIXTON ACADEMY

‘Sound & Color’the massively anticipated follow-up to Alabama Shakes’ UK Top Three charting, three time Grammy nominated debut album ‘Boys & Girls’ – will be released on 20th April by Rough Trade Records. ATO Records will release the album in North America on 21st April. The album was recorded at Nashville’s Sound Emporium studio and was co-produced by the band and Blake Mills—a young guitar wizard who has played alongside Lana Del Ray.

At the end of last month the Athens, Alabama group performed ‘Don’t Wanna Fight’ (watch here: http://bit.ly/1BwJvzl) and ‘Gimme All Your Love’ (watch here: http://bit.ly/17JZ7mZ) on Saturday Night Live. On a TV roll, they then performed ‘Don’t Wanna Fight’ on The Late Show With David Letterman last week: http://bit.ly/1LwFfGh

Alabama Shakes will play the following dates later this year, which will include a sold out headline slot at The Great Escape Festival and a headline slot at O2 Academy Brixton– their biggest UK show to date. There will be a pre-sale for the dates this Weds 25th March at 9am GMT on the band’s website www.alabamashakes.com followed by general sale this Friday 27th at 9am GMT.
