Album Review; Chopstick Suicide – ‘Lost Fathers and Sons’

Chopstick Suicide ‘Lost Fathers and Sons’

Chopstick Suicide are a mathcore four piece from the lovely city of Istanbul. I’ve never been to Istanbul but I imagine someone there has done something to annoy these four guys.
Eight tracks of out there anger, that doesn’t let up. From opener ‘Everyone Sleeps But Me’ through to ending track ‘Kolpa’ Chopstick Suicide through everything apart from the kitchen sink into these songs.
Going from intense break downs through to rock and roll riffs with a little jazz fusion mixed in there for good measure. I think it would be impossible to not be impressed by this album.
Stand out track has to be the eight minute long masterpiece that is ‘Your Average Hero’, with a much more chilled/doom ridden vibe behind the track is magnificent. If you like something that is more than a bit different then give the guys in Chopstick Suicide a listen. 7.5/10
