Bones is the second full length recording from British rockers Young Guns. The first time I heard about Young Guns is when they were on tour with Deaf Havana and The Casino Brawl on the metal hammer incoming tour in 2009, since that tour the band have taken the UK and Europe by storm.

Playing festivals such as Download and Reading and Leeds is proof that they are not just a flash in the pan. The good looks of front man Gus make many a teenage girl weak at the knees where their music is striking enough to blow those knee caps off.

Young Guns are best described as a blend of pop punk with some good old school rock and roll riffage with an ambient undertone. Closing song “Brothers In Arms” is a strong end to a strong album where as “Hymn For All I’ve Lost” show the guys in Young Guns also have a softer side.

With constant air play on music channels and features in magazine Young Guns will continue to prosper. 7/10
