TAKEN FROM THEIR ‘AS’ EP RELEASE ON YOUNG TURKS

Last month, Amnesia Scanner released their ‘AS’ EP on Young Turks. Over six tracks, the self-titled ‘Xperienz Designers’ presented a record of brutal, beautiful, fragmented electronic music.
The two lead tracks, ‘AS CRUST’ and ‘AS CHINGY’ set the scene to widespread acclaim. The bewildering, hypnotic former track was made Pitchfork’s ‘Best New Track’, while the latter – surely one of the most uncompromising pieces of music to be played over the BBC Radio 1 airwaves – was accompanied by a much talked-about film from multimedia sculptor Sam Rolfes (“as bewildering and hypnotic as the song itself” – FACT). Following collaborative work with Holly Herndon on Platform and Lexachast, their project with PAN label head Bill Kouligas, ‘AS’ provided yet another compelling glimpse into Amnesia Scanner’s evolving immersive world.

Amnesia Scanner launched ‘AS‘ with an ambitious sold-out show at London’s Electrowerkz on March 30th. They are also set to perform live at Volksbühne, Berlin on April 30th, Unsound, Toronto on June 10th.
