Scottish Fiction and Last Night From Glasgow are proud to present Still, the latest single to be taken from from Annie Booth‘s new EP Spectral.Piano-laden and reminiscent of Regina Spektor’s aching melancholy, Still is haunted by Booth’s longing, fading cries.  Each of the remixes takes this track of in new directions .  L-Space create a reverb-y dream-like experience in the style of Warpaint.  Redolent rework Booth’s vocal cries into a full blown psych freak-out, while Oran Jusu turns the track much more upbeat with a tropical vibe.Working with acclaimed producer Chris McCrory (Catholic Action, Siobhan Wilson) the songs on Spectral showcases bittersweet notions set against sparse and creeping instrumentation.  Affecting and dense in subject matter, Spectral traces Booth’s maturing development as a songwriter both musically and lyrically.Still is available on a limited edition print with download code and digitally on all platforms on now via Scottish Fiction and Last Night From Glasgow.Spectral is on limited edition 12” purple vinyl, CD and digitally now via Scottish Fiction and Last Night From Glasgow.

“A gorgeous, expressive voice … her sound is fleshed-out and fully-formed. ★★★★☆” – The List“There’s raw emotion here … Booth takes on the big issues of existence and meaning with intelligence and vulnerability” – The National“Equally adept at wading into the contemplative waters of artists such as Laura Marling and Rachel Sermanni or a sense of barbed cynicism… of Julia Jacklin or Courtney Barnett” – Tenement TV
