Ari Seth Cohen + Van She Partner For ‘Idea Of Happiness’ Videos

Australian band Van She and New York-based style blogger Ari Seth Cohen of Advanced Style have partnered on a series of videos exploring the concept of happiness**. Inspired by Van She’s 2012 album ‘Idea Of Happiness’, Cohen handpicked some of the most inspirational women featured on his blog and spoke to them about what happiness means to them.
The first of three video in the series, featuring Valerie and Jean of ‘The Idiosyncratic Fashionistas’ premiered today on Refinery29.
Says Cohen, “the extraordinary women I chose for this series of videos are some of the favorites from my blog Advanced Style. They all have unique approaches to personal style and share a positive outlook on life and aging.
“Valerie and Jean otherwise known as The Idiosyncratic Fashionistas run a blog which features their weekly style adventures and cultural happenings around town. They inspire women of all ages to have fun with fashion.”
Additionally, Van She Dub legend Mad Professor, inspired by the tropical tones of Van She’s sophomore effort Idea of Happiness, hijacked the already chill single ‘Jamaica’ and relaxed it to the nth degree. It premiered with RCRDLBL earlier today.

The ‘Jamaica’ single package with remixes by L-Vis 1990, Plastic Plates, Riva Starr, Unicorn Kid and Mad Professor is out now in the UK.
Following on from their rowdy European shows, Van She are landing in America this week for a brief run of US tour dates. The short tour will take in New York, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, and will be the band’s first live shows in the States since 2006.
